Some additional information about parking in west london, to cater to all your parking needs
Despite being just outside the reaches of Central London, on-street parking in West London is still quite difficult – with many roads being within residential Controlled Parking Zones. West London generally refers to the London borough of Hammersmith and Fulham, and parts of the neighbouring boroughs of Hounslow and Ealing.
In general, on-street parking restrictions are more stringent and parking charges more expensive the closer you get to Central London – in places like Hammersmith, for example. Most streets in West London are residential areas, and borough councils have tried to ensure that residents are prioritised when it comes to finding a space. Parking restrictions vary from borough to borough and from street to street, so it is essential that you read local signage to understand the restrictions in place at your location.

There are a plethora of off-street car parks in West London but despite being less central, many car parks here will still charge a very high rate. The most affordable options are council-operated – of which there are several dotted around across the London boroughs of Hounslow, Ealing and Hammersmith & Fulham. However, these locations are generally smaller than the larger, more expensive commercially-run sites.

The car park is open 24 hours a day, Monday-Sunday, but charges only apply from 8am-6pm each day – so despite the often limited spaces, it is a viable consideration.
Likewise, Scrubs Lane car park (Hammersmith, London, W12 0HU) operated by Hammersmith and Fulham Council is a great alternative option to some of the more expensive options nearby. It is located near to Hammersmith Hospital in the White City area, not far from QPR’s Loftus Road Stadium. It must be noted that there is often very limited spaces, but this site too is open 24/7 – only charging from 8am-6.30pm, Monday-Friday.
