Information about parking in Hammersmith
Driving to Hammersmith couldn’t be easier, as the major A4 road runs right through the area connecting the M4 with Central London.
Hammersmith is a very densely populated and busy area of London, and this has a number of effects on parking in the area. On-street spaces can be limited, whilst off-street car parks often charge a very high premium as the area asserts itself as an upmarket London location. Parking elsewhere and arriving via the good public transport links is always worth considering.
JustPark provides information on parking options across Hammersmith – covering both on-street and off-street spaces, with many of them reservable, from driveways to car parks.

Some additional information about parking in hammersmith, to cater to all your parking needs
Parking on-street can be quite challenging in Hammersmith as it is a very busy and congested area of West London. As a result, there are a series of Controlled Parking Zones of which the majority of Hammersmith is within the central Zone A. This zone enforces a maximum stay of between 2 and 4 hours (which varies depending on where you park) and operates from 8.30am-6.30pm, Monday-Saturday. Hourly parking charges here are relatively affordable in comparison to some other areas of London.
You can use the JustPark parking map to find information on available on-street parking spaces in Hammersmith.

There are a lack of council-operated off-street car parks near to Hammersmith, but there are several privately-run locations. However, unfortunately, most of these privately-run car parks are increasingly charging a very high rate.
Kings Mall shopping centre car park (Glenthorne Road, Hammersmith, W6 0LJ) is very well located off-street car park in the centre of Hammersmith. The car park is open 24 hours a day, Monday-Sunday – but the parking charges for stays any longer than 4 hours are extremely high, even for London.
Another alternative nearby is the Hammersmith Novotel car park (1 Shortlands, Hammersmith, W6 8DR) which is a marginally cheaper long term option, but it does only offer an hourly rate – so this soon adds up to a relatively high daily fare.
JustPark offers a wide selection of reservable off-street spaces in Hammersmith – in both council and commercially-run car parks, as well as at hotels, offices and on private driveways. You can browse these options and book a guaranteed space via our website or app.

Hammersmith has 2 London underground stations – both with the same name – a short walk from one another. Hammersmith (Hammersmith & City and Circle Lines) and Hammersmith (Piccadilly and District Lines) are located north and south respectively of Hammersmith Broadway and make the area very well connected to all parts of the city.
Disabled drivers displaying their Blue Badge can park in any permit holder, disabled bay or pay-and-display space throughout the Hammersmith & Fulham borough free of charge – and for an unlimited amount of time.
Blue Badge holders may also park on single or double yellow lines for up to 3 hours, provided there is no obstruction to traffic or violation of local loading restrictions – indicated by yellow strips on the kerb.

Hammersmith and Fulham council have introduced a number of Controlled Parking Zones throughout the borough, to ease congestion due to the A4 trunk road that passes through the area from the M4 to Central London. The vast majority of on-street parking is limited to permit holder or pay-and-display spaces, that mostly enforce a maximum stay during hours of operation – so always make sure you’re aware of the specific rules governing your space.

Hammersmith is the administrative and geographical centre of the upmarket borough of Hammersmith and Fulham. This West London area is a trendy and thriving centre, with lovely spots to dine and shop, or even see some live comedy at the famous Hammersmith Apollo. Equally, for a more relaxed experience, Hammersmith Bridge on the Thames is a lovely sight to behold – and you can enjoy the view from one of several centuries-old pubs and inns that line the banks.
