Leeds station is located on the Southern edge of Leeds city centre near to the River Aire. Accessing the station by car is easy, either via Wellington Street from the A58 or by following signs from Meadow Road off the M621.
On-street parking near the station is quite difficult as this a particularly busy section of the city centre, with the nearby roads acting as crucial through roads from the major motorways M621 and A58(M). However, there are a good amount of off-street car park spaces on-site and nearby.

On-street parking
There are quite a lot of on-street parking spaces throughout Leeds – albeit largely limited to pay-and-display. However, near to the station, there is quite a lack of on-street spaces due to its location – isolated between the river and some very busy roads leading in and out of the city. The nearest on-street parking is located near Leeds Bridge, to the southeast of the station. On-street parking charges apply from 8am-10pm, Monday-Saturday – but with a flat evening rate from 6pm-10pm, and reduced rates on Sunday from 10am-6pm.

Off-street parking
Leeds is well served by on-site off-street parking options – with a Short Stay, Long Stay and Multi-storey car park all located to the rear of the station, off Princes Square (LS1 4HT). The car parks, operated by APCOA Parking, are open 24/7 and generally offer a reasonable rate. The Short Stay option is affordable only if you stay for less than 20 minutes, after which the prices increase exponentially. Meanwhile, the Long Stay car park located just down the road has many spaces and offers quite a reasonable daily and nightly rate.

Leeds train station forms part of the East Coast Main Line and is an important through station for services running in all directions, the length and breadth of the country.
Leeds bus station is just a short walk away to the east of the city centre, and provides the majority of transport links to the surrounding region.
Disabled parking
Disabled drivers may require station assistance if they were to park in any of Leeds station’s on-site car parks, as there is inadequate facilities and a reasonable distance to navigate between the spaces and the station.
Blue Badge holders can park free of charge for an unlimited period of time in any of Leeds’ on-street pay-and-display spaces. Disabled drivers are also able to park on single or double yellow lines for up to 3 hours with a Blue Badge, unless there are signs that state otherwise.

Parking restrictions & event days
Leeds station is located in quite a tricky place when it comes to on-street parking, due to being surrounded by busy city streets that prohibit parking. There is a limited amount of pay-and-display spaces as a result, but always check the specific restrictions when you park.

The official drop-off and pick-up point is located to the rear of the station on Princes Square, just off Aire Street. Be aware that there is limited room for unloading here and just one narrow roundabout that cars tend to be slow in navigating around – therefore, queues and congestion are commonplace at busy times.
