Epping is located just outside of the M25 boundary, adjacent to the M11 to Cambridge. As a result, it can quickly and easily be reached from either of these motorways.

As well as its close proximity to the M11, Epping station serves as the Northeastern terminus of the London Underground Central Line and is thus a perfect ‘park and tube’ destination. The journey time from Epping to Central London by tube is around 45 minutes.

Most on-street parking restrictions apply only in the immediate vicinity to Epping High Street and Epping Station – with many of the surrounding roads to these locations being single or double yellow lined, or residential areas with permit holder only spaces. However, just a short drive clear of these nearby streets and most on-street parking is free. Be aware that there are limited spaces on these residential streets and you may be a bit of a walk from your desired location.

Epping Forest District Council provide 3 off-street car parks in Epping, all in the town centre within walking distance of Epping High Street. The largest of these car parks is Cottis Lane car park (Cottis Lane, Essex, CM16 5EG) which operates from 7.30am-6pm, Monday-Sunday. The hourly rates here are very reasonable but be aware that there is a 5 hour maximum stay. A very attractive discounted weekend daily fare is also available.
A great option for those wishing to park up and commute into London is NCP’s Epping Station car park (Station Road, Epping, CM16 4HW). This large car park is open 24 hours a day, Monday-Sunday, and generally provides you the best off-street all-day parking option for the station and the town itself, with reasonable daily fares.

Epping station is the Northeastern terminus of the London Underground Central Line, providing commuters with great access to London from Essex.
There are a number of bus services accessible from Epping, primarily running to places nearby in Essex.
There are a good number of accessible spaces at all the nearby off-street car parks in Epping, in particular Epping Station car park. The council-run car parks all offer free parking to disabled drivers.
Disabled drivers displaying their Blue Badge may also park on single or double yellow lines for up to 3 hours if necessary, provided they are not violating any local loading bans or obstructing traffic.
