Bonfire Night itself falls on Thursday 5 November 2026, but most organised displays move to the nearest Saturday instead — either 31 October or 7 November. Lewes is the main exception, sticking to the 5th regardless of the day of the week.

It varies a lot more than at other events on this list — Lewes and Winchester close roads around the town centre entirely and have no dedicated on-site parking, while venues like Ascot Racecourse and Leeds Castle have limited e on-site parking but it fills early. The two big weekends (31 October–1 November and 7–8 November 2026) concentrate most of the UK's major displays on the same two nights, so demand for parking near any of them spikes hard on those specific dates. Book as early as you can once the organiser confirms their date.

Free on-street parking is very limited near most major displays and often suspended entirely where roads close for the event (Lewes, Winchester). Where it exists, it fills hours before the fireworks start — booking ahead with JustPark is the more reliable option.
