Parking for Wimbledon Park Bonfire Night 2026
Wimbledon Fireworks 2026: Dates and Venue
Merton's Fireworks in the Park returns to Wimbledon Park on Bonfire Night itself, making the Wimbledon fireworks one of the few big south west London displays held on 5 November. There are two shows set to music in one evening, an earlier display for younger children and families followed by a louder main show, with the Wimbledon Park funfair, street food and bars open throughout. Merton's second fireworks night takes place at Morden Park two days later.
Both shows draw big crowds on a school night, and streets around Wimbledon Park fill up quickly once the gates open. Book your Wimbledon Park fireworks parking alongside your tickets to lock in a space and spend the evening at the display rather than searching for a spot.

FAQs on Wimbledon Park Fireworks

Gates and the funfair open at 5.15pm, with the first, child-friendly fireworks show at 6.45pm. The second, louder show starts at 8.30pm, and the funfair closes at 10pm. Tickets are sold for a specific show, so pick the one that suits your group.

Wimbledon Park is in SW19, with the main entrance on Home Park Road. Wimbledon Park and Southfields Underground stations on the District line are both within walking distance. If you're driving, book a JustPark space in the surrounding streets ahead of time, as on-street parking nearby is limited.

Book a space in the streets around Southfields, Wimbledon Park or Wimbledon town centre and walk to the park. Many roads in the area have parking restrictions, so booking a JustPark space in advance saves you checking signs in the dark and lets you lock in a spot close to your entrance.

The 6.45pm family show is the easier one to get to and from if you're heading home with young children, though you'll be arriving during rush hour. The 8.30pm main show means quieter roads on the way in, but a later finish, so book your parking ahead either way to lock in a space that suits your timing.
