On-street parking in Sheffield can be difficult, but there are a lot of on-street spaces made available to visiting drivers. The city centre is split into 3 distinct Controlled Parking Zones enforced by Sheffield City Council. Special restrictions are often put in place for match days at either Sheffield Wednesday’s Hillsborough stadium to the north of the city, or at Sheffield United’s Bramall Lane football stadium. It is crucial to be aware of the match schedule, as congestion in the city centre and around the inner ring road can become particularly bad on match days.
