Car Park on Egerton Road, TW2

Car Park on Egerton Road, TW2

The car park is owned by Richmond upon Thames School (RTS) and any funds raised will be put towards improving the facilities for students. Parking is ideally situated for easy access on foot to Twickenham Stadium (3 minute walk), The Stoop (5 minute walk) and Twickenham town centre (10 minute walk). We are on the corner of Egerton Road and the A316, accessed via the A316 itself, making it easy to arrive and depart. Don't mistake us for other car parks - there are quite a few! As well as the address, we'll send you a What3words location to help you reach us; using these will get you to us and our friendly marshals who are there throughout our opening times. Volume of stadium traffic means you're advised to arrive with us at least an hour before kick off, though many regulars arrive 2hours before to minimise sitting in traffic. For those new to the stadium, Rugby and Whitton Roads are closed 2hours before kick off to allow for pedestrians. Arriving from the A316 means access is unaffected: join this at Hospital Bridge Road or St Margarets Road (even if you're coming from different directions) and the closures won't affect you. If you have a large vehicle (Transit or Minibus-sized vehicle, or more than 7 seats) we may be able to accommodate you upon special request. Please contact us before booking.

SMALL driveway available for one SMALL sized car. Medium cars may fit but it will be a very tight squeeze. Facing outwards at an angle would be the best way to park, making sure that the car isn't sticking out onto the pavement at all. Just a couple of minutes walk to Twickenham station, 5 minutes to the Town Centre and 8-10 minutes walk to the Rugby Stadium. If parking to go to a rugby match, we suggest that you arrive at least 2-3 hours before the game, due to traffic and road closures in the surrounding area.

One important point - the space can be used for two separate bookings so if you arrive first be sure to park in a way that will allow a second car to park beside you. Thank you! Off street parking. Can accommodate 2 large cars such as 4x4. NO large vans. 3 min to Twickenham station 12 min to Twickenham stadium 5 min to river Thames and Church street for nice restaurants and pubs. If you are driving an electric vehicle and wish to charge, you will need to bring your own adaptor. This has a standard 3 pin outlet. Drivers must be aware that road closures are usually in place at certain times either side of a big match. The decision to close main roads is based on crowd estimates. The closures are usually 2 hours before and 2 hours after a match, though this may vary. Leaving parking space should not be a problem.

Private driveway fitting up to 3 cars, 5 minutes walk (the less crowded route) to the stadium and 5 to 10 minutes to the railway station and Twickenham centre. When looking at a map (or sat nav) the Egerton road entrance is not an option to come in on as there is a barrier, however, the barrier is normally opened after the match to enable a quick exit onto the A316. If, by any chance, you are delayed and arrive after the roads have closed then go to Egerton road from the A316 and show them your booking for our street and they will let you through (although sometimes grudgingly!). Please be aware that the roads are shut sometimes an hour and a half to 2 hours before kick off so please make sure you allow plenty of time to get here.

My drive has space for TWO cars so please park to side, either right or left so another car can park. It’s very convenient for main stadium and Harlequins. Roads can be closed when busy but there’s access via A316 and Egerton Rd during the closures. Lots of facilities nearby. Portaloos are at end of Heathfield North. There’s a power point outside but you’d need adapter for charging.
