Additional Information

Some additional information about parking in east croydon, to cater to all your parking needs

  • On-street parking

East Croydon, as with all of the Controlled Parking Zones in Croydon, has paid on-street parking spaces available and these spots are clearly marked with white lines. To park in any of these convenient spaces, you must purchase and display your parking ticket. Further, the time limit for the area is typically two to four hours, but there are some spots around the station which allow eight hours, though this is rare.

Regardless of the time limit, visitors must pay for the entire duration of their stay, and this has been made possible by easier access to pay by phone. Once the time limit has passed, you must move your car, which means if you are travelling on the train from East Croydon for longer than a day, you cannot park on the street.

  • Off-street parking

Parking at the station is possible as it has its own large car park. This allows travellers to park their car with peace of mind for longer periods. The rates are clearly posted in and around the car park.

There are also many other car parks around East Croydon owned by other companies with varying parking spots.

  • Public transport

Since East Croydon is serviced by the tram, the bus and the train, travellers can easily get to and from the station without a car if they so choose. This helps avoid having to park at all if so desired. There are also places to park bikes and an abundance of taxis for this purpose.

  • Disabled parking

Both on and off street parking spots reserved for those with disabilities are available around East Croydon. These spots are clearly marked with adequate signage.

  • Parking restrictions & event days

Parking on the streets around the station is not permitted at all times and on all days, so it can be important to pay attention to signage around the spots. Larger and more accessible spaces around the station are available, to make it easier for those with physical and mental disabilities, as per the Blue Badge scheme.

  • Overnight, weekends & bank holidays

Most bank holidays have the same rules and restrictions for on-street parking except for Christmas Day, New Years Day, Easter Sunday and Boxing Day.

In the car parks, bank holidays are typically treated the same as other days in terms of restrictions and fees.

  • Drop-off and pick-up

Short term parking and designated drop off and pick up spots make it easy for travellers to find and get their rides from the station.
