London Fireworks 2026 Dates at a Glance

Bonfire Night, also known as Guy Fawkes Night, falls on Thursday 5 November 2026, but most firework displays in London move to the nearest weekend. Here's when the main events take place:

  • Saturday 7 November: Blackheath, Alexandra Palace and Battersea Park

  • Sunday 8 November: Alexandra Palace family day and Battersea Park

Alexandra Palace Bonfire Night: Fireworks & Drone Festival

Book parking near the Alexandra Palace fireworks and walk up to the park without the stress of hunting for a space in Wood Green or Muswell Hill.

Ally Pally's Fireworks & Drone Festival is the one most Londoners have on their list, with fireworks and a drone show lighting up the sky above one of the best views over the city.

The weekend runs on Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 November, with a different feel each night. Saturday is the full festival night, with a headline DJ set from Eats Everything and a German Bier Festival, while Sunday is a family-focused day with an earlier display, a kids' jungle rave and a karaoke singalong with Shaun Williamson. A giant bonfire, funfair rides, marshmallow toasting and ice skating run across both days.

  • Dates: Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 November 2026, with gates opening at 4pm both days

  • Display times: around 8pm on Saturday and around 6pm on Sunday

  • Tickets: from £11.50, sold in advance through the festival's own ticket site

  • Nearest station: Alexandra Palace, served by Great Northern trains from Moorgate and King's Cross, with Wood Green on the Piccadilly line around a 20-minute walk away

  • Road closures: Alexandra Palace Way typically closes to traffic across the festival weekend, with parking suspensions on surrounding roads

Battersea Park Bonfire Night Fireworks

Reserve your Battersea Park fireworks parking ahead of time, as the two-night run brings heavy traffic to Battersea and Nine Elms on both evenings.

Run by Wandsworth Council, Battersea Park Fireworks is South London's headline display, with two nights of shows on the south bank of the Thames. Each night has its own soundtrack and line-up. Saturday brings a Rudimental DJ set and a post-display Disco Ceilidh, while Sunday features the Lords of Lightning electrical show and a Taylor Swift tribute before a pop anthems afterparty.

  • Dates: Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 November 2026

  • Saturday times: gates at 6pm, last entry 8pm, fireworks from around 8.30pm

  • Sunday times: gates at 4.30pm, last entry 6.30pm, fireworks from around 7pm

  • Tickets: general admission (16+) from £16.70, youth tickets (5 to 15) £11.50, and under-5s free but still need a ticket. Tickets are advance only, with no sales on the gate

  • Nearest stations: Battersea Park and Queenstown Road, with Battersea Power Station on the Northern line also within walking distance

Wimbledon Park Fireworks in the Park

Find parking for Wimbledon Park Fireworks in the Park so a school-night display doesn't turn into a late-night search for a space.

If you want your fireworks on Bonfire Night itself, Wimbledon Park is one of the few big London displays running on 5 November. Merton Council's Fireworks in the Park has two shows set to music, so younger children can enjoy the earlier display and still be home in good time. Expect a funfair, street food and bars alongside the fireworks.

  • Date: Thursday 5 November 2026

  • Times: gates at 5.15pm, a first show aimed at young children at 6.45pm, and the main display at 8.30pm

  • Tickets: sold in advance through See Tickets, and the event regularly sells out

  • Nearest stations: Wimbledon Park and Southfields, both on the District line

Blackheath Fireworks

Book your Blackheath Fireworks parking in advance, as the common is fenced for the ticketed event and the surrounding roads fill quickly on the night.

Blackheath Fireworks takes over Blackheath Common for one big night, with a huge line-up of entertainment alongside the display itself. UK garage favourites DJ Luck & MC Neat and club legend Brandon Block headline the Big Top, with Massaoke, the Lords of Lightning, comedy and an extended funfair filling the rest of the evening.

  • Date: Saturday 7 November 2026, 5pm to 10pm

  • Display time: 8pm, which is also the last entry time, so arrive early

  • Tickets: £16 for adults, £10 for 11 to 15-year-olds and £5 for under-10s, sold through the organiser's own site. Fairground rides cost extra

  • Nearest station: Blackheath, a short walk from the common

Driving to London Fireworks: Congestion Charge and ULEZ

Most of London's fireworks displays sit outside the central Congestion Charge zone, but it's worth checking your route before you set off.

  • Congestion Charge: £18 a day, applying Monday to Friday from 7am to 6pm and from 12pm to 6pm at weekends and on bank holidays. Coram's Fields in Bloomsbury sits inside the zone.

  • ULEZ: £12.50 a day for non-compliant vehicles, running 24 hours a day across all London boroughs, so it applies to every display in this guide.
