For example, pay-and-display street parking is available at Chertsey Road within the hours of 8:30 am and 6:00 pm. The spaces are free outside these hours. Other streets such as Oriental Road allow voucher parking for an hour (vouchers are sold in shops). For railway travellers during peak hours, off-street parking is the only option.

  • Off-street parking

Further down the track is the Oriental Road car park, where the rate is a more favourable £11.00 for all-day parking. Prices are much reduced at the weekends.

Other car parks in the area offer similar all-day rates to the Oriental Road site but are only worth considering if you want a short stay and are popping to the station to meet someone or for tickets. The car park at Heathside Crescent or the Victoria Way multistorey are the nearest ones. Both are council car parks offering identical prices.

Trains from Woking go to Basingstoke, Bournemouth, London Waterloo, Portsmouth and Salisbury among other places.

  • Disabled parking

There are four disabled parking bays for Blue Badge holders within 30 to 40 yards of the station entrance. Other designated disabled spaces are available at nearby car parks such as Oriental Road. On-street disabled bays at sites such as Station Approach have a three-hour limit (a time disc must be displayed).

  • Parking restrictions & event days

Woking railway station lies within Zone 1 of the town’s CPZ system, and parking restrictions are enforced in that immediate area on bank holidays. Other zones in Woking exclude bank holidays as regular weekdays, so it is possible to park within walking distance of the station for free.
