The Lowry is a theatre complex in the city of Salford, offering unique performance and visual arts to the theatre’s visitors. Opened in October 2000 by Queen Elizabeth, the venue’s name is after L.S. Public transportation gives visitors access to The Lowry venue by bus and train. Bus routes 50, 69, and 245 stop near the venue. Metrolink train lines run to The Lowry.
There are two designated parking spaces for the disabled on The Lowry’s service road. These spaces are not reservable and are given to the first Blue Badge holders to arrive. Additional disabled parking is available for The Lowry visitors at the car park, outside the Lowry Outlet Mall. Designated parking for Blue Badge holders is free on every level of the multi-level building for the first four hours. Subsequent hours cost £1 per hour, up to four hours. Show the Blue Badge at the ground-floor information desk. The car park requires the badge holder’s presence to qualify for reduced pricing.
On-street, controlled parking zone restrictions take effect from 8am-8pm daily for parking near The Lowry. Pay attention to parking signs which detail the area’s regulations and tariffs.
During bank holidays, there are no on-street tariffs for parking near The Lowry.
Drivers may drop off passengers directly in front of The Lowry Theatre’s main entrance, about 30 metres from the door.
