Information about parking near the Ricoh Arena
Driving to the Ricoh Arena is relatively straightforward, as it sits just a short distance south of the M6 – simply depart from Junction 3 and take the A444 until you reach the stadium. The A444 also runs all the way to the edge of Coventry city centre.
On-street parking is not recommended on event days, as access is restricted to resident permit holders only for a wide surrounding area. Off-street parking can also be difficult, with the stadium’s car parks often being unable to cater for demand on big event days, but there are some options close by.

On-street parking on event days is very difficult for visiting drivers, as a large area surrounding the Ricoh Arena is divided into 7 Resident Parking Zones. In each of these zones, parking is limited to permit holders only on event days. It is not advised to try and park on-street near to the Ricoh Arena on event days unless you have a valid permit for your relevant zone. Dates and times of the next event day and any further restrictions will be outlined on signposts located on nearby streets.

There are 3 car parks on-site at the Ricoh Arena that are available on event days. Car parks A,B and C offer thousands of spaces and generally provide the most convenient access to the complex. Parking at any of these car parks is priced as standard and you simply pay for your car with no distinction with length of stay. It is recommended that you pre-book these spaces as on event days, as they will be limited in number and many are reserved for permit holders and regular attendees.
With each specific event, the arena may enlist the help of local car parks that would usually only offer parking to their own customers, such as at the nearby Tesco car park. It is important to know the arrangements of your specific event before you try to park at the arena, as there will be different options available for each event.
Another off-street option near to the M6 exit is Leisure Ireland car park (McConnell Drive, Coventry, CV7 9GA) This car park is around 15-20 minutes walk away and is a lot cheaper than the on-site options. However, spaces will again be limited on event days.

Coventry Arena railway station serves the Ricoh Arena and was specifically built just outside for this very purpose. However, the station is currently subject to closure one hour prior to and after events at the arena, as it does not have the necessary facilities or funding to handle the volume of spectators. However, there are regular trains to and from nearby stations including Coventry railway station.
There are a limited number of disabled spaces available on-site at the Ricoh Arena, where fares will still apply irrespective of a Blue Badge.

On-street parking on event days is close to impossible for visiting drivers. A wide-reaching surrounding area is within a Resident Parking Scheme, of which 7 Zones limit parking to permit holders only. Signposts on local streets will highlight when the next event is to take place.

The Ricoh Arena is a major complex in Coventry and the stadium is the home of Coventry City Football Club, as well as Wasps Rugby Union Football Club. Unique for a stadium, the complex includes a large exhibition hall, hotel and casino – making it an attraction for more than just a lover of sport.
