Additional Information

Some additional information about parking in didcot parkway station, to cater to all your parking needs

  • On-street parking

While you can still park in the station’s car park, a new alternative has been opened recently. However, it’s a little far from the station’s entrance. You have to cross the bridge before reaching the place. However, the new car park is not fully functional. After you have used this car park and paid, you can exit using the foot bridge on level 2. From the cross over, follow the path which leads you towards the station and you will see signs for every service provided by the station.

  • Off-street parking

If you are not comfortable with the services, space or affordability of on-street parking, you can try off-street parking instead. Most of these spaces, however, are only available on weekends, but they are quite cheap by comparison.

  • Public transport

Didcot Parkway Station is among the busiest transport hubs in London. Trains depart and arrive from many different parts of the area. The station works with several train operators, making it even more people congested. You can also use the bus services available around the station.

  • Disabled parking

The station has enabled convenient parking for people with disabilities. There is a direct route towards a restricted and reserved parking space right at the entrance of the station. These parking spaces are reserved for people with blue badges only. For those who still want to park off-street, there are also reserved parking spaces at the Prince of Wales public house parking.

  • Parking restrictions & event days

Being around one of the busiest places in London, Didcot Parkway Station can sometimes hinder convenience parking, especially if you are opting for on-street parking. This is due to the fact that there is a popular museum present, as well as a very busy railway station in the centre.

  • Overnight, weekends & bank holidays

The parking available around the station offers very good off-street parking services on bank holidays and even overnight. However, it may be more convenient to check with the JustPark app first before planning your journey on bank holidays.

  • Drop-off and pick-up

Drop-offs and pick-ups are only allowed at the main entrance of the station, before heading towards the parking area. This reduces the congestion that can appear at the parking lot. Visitors are required to get in and out of their vehicles as quickly as they can.
