Much of Bristol city centre is a Controlled Parking Zone, and other areas are also restricted to resident permits only, so parking in the middle can be quite difficult at certain times. Most off-street car parks in Bristol offer a limited number of disabled spaces.

Blue Badge holders, however, can park with no maximum stay in any on-street pay-and-display space or bay throughout the city at no cost – even in resident permit restricted areas.

Blue Badge holders may also park for up to 3 hours on single or double yellow lines, unless local signs state otherwise.

Parking restrictions & event days
Many of the streets in the centre of Bristol are situated within a strict Controlled Parking Zone, and some areas of the city are largely Resident Permit restricted, so always make sure you read local signposts to ensure you do not park illegally.

Parking restrictions in the surrounding Bristol area are usually only on main roads, bus routes and near local shopping areas so you should have no trouble finding parking outside of the city centre.
