The Oval is quite straightforward to reach by car, located next to the junctions between the A3 and the A202 but with its Central London location, driving to here can be made difficult with high congestion being a common occurrence.
It is not recommended to arrive by car to the Oval as a lack of off-street car parks nearby and often quite strict on-street parking restrictions make this a venue worth travelling to by public transport for at least part of your journey.

The Oval is in the Kennington Controlled Parking Zone of the London Borough of Lambeth. Parking can be very difficult in this zone on any day, due to on-street parking being largely limited to pay-and-display or resident permit holder spaces. However, on major event days at the cricket ground, some road closures will prevent access in and around the stadium – so it is crucial that you are aware of special restrictions on such days before you arrive by car.
On the JustPark map, we’ll only show you spaces which you’re allowed to park in (i.e. are not restricted) at the times you search for.
Parking restrictions generally do not apply on weekends or Bank Holidays throughout Lambeth. However, on match days and in some bays on any day, they may still apply – so always read signposts on location outlining any special restrictions.
