On-street parking
Parking in Stockport Station itself is not possible, but there are a number of on-street parking options on the Edgley side of the station. Many of these are controlled parking zones for which pay and display tickets must be obtained at certain times of the day. Most of these parking areas offer to pay by phone services so it won’t be a problem if you don’t have the correct change with you.
Off-street parking
There is a large NCP car park which is directly connected to the train station and offers undercover parking options. There is also a smaller NCP car park located just beyond the station entrance on the town centre side. Both of these car parks charge for parking 24 hours a day. Slightly further away are a number of council pay and display car parks which have less difficult conditions and sometimes offer free parking outside of peak times. If you’re looking for security though, you may be better off at one of the 24-hour car parks.
