Hilton Garden Inn Birmingham Car Park

Easy to book, excellent directions, easy to access, excellent service!

Easy to arrange , car park safe and clean

When we booked the car park for the Hilton Garden Inn Birmingham, we thought great. But unfortunately this car park is horrendous to get into and even worse to get out of. The sensors on the car were going off due to how narrow and close the frame was to each side of our car upon entry, we even had to close wing mirrors to get through, never mind trying to turn at bottom of ramp. The day after when we were due to leave we proceeded to the exit, very little space to be able just turn and exit up the ramp. We had to manoeuvre our car a few times, which in the end we had no option but to mount the deep central kerb, just missing the metal box on a stand to beable to get the car up the exit ramp, but at this stage the damage had already been done to our front & rear passenger alloys by the other deep concrete kerb and the pillar just missing the passenger door. Never in all our years of parking any size of car in a car park have we ever encountered an entry & exit so narrow. If you drive a small car you'll be fine, but anything don't bother, try Q parks next door. Very annoyed at the damage to our car, through no fault of our own, entrance & exit disgusting.

The barrier was permanently raised. On arrival myself & 2 other cars who had paid for spaces arrived to find only spaces available were designated for EV only. We made the decision to park in those spaces, and reported to the hotel reception explaining what we had done.... they said it "should be ok" - but I felt uncomfortable for the whole of my stay that I might end up with an additional fine for doing so. The spaces were very tight, and it was a challenge due to other cars also looking for available spaces to manouve around each other as entry & exit were at the same point.

Easy to find parking location,easy to get in to car park, hassel free parking

Car park was not secure...no barrier or code required on entry or departure.

Very tight car park to enter and exit, that said very convenient and felt safe.

This is a relatively small underground parking area, and I was worried that upon arriving there were only two vacant spaces available - and the entrance barrier was open both when I entered and when I departed, so was slightly concerned regarding the security. This may however have been due to some repair and maintenance work which was being carried out. Overall, I was very pleased with the location, directly under the Hotel reception area, simple to find (with satnav), easy to access.
