Park & Walk - Aldridge Road Recreation Ground (event)

Slight confusion initially re parking location but after call to Justpark sorted ok.

Used the car park to attend the athletics at the Alexander Stadium. Paid £17.50 for the privilege. Took over 25 mins to leave after the event due to terrible organisation. Queues were not treated equally and there is only one way out, one car at a time. To be avoided!

Easy enough to do

Quick at getting the cars in and parked easily. No long ques to get out afterwards. Some of the area floodlit to help find your car afterwards when it is dark

Easy to book as part of the event.

Way too expensive to park in a field.

Booking a space was easy and reasonable for event parking. The walk to the stadium took at least 30 minutes and is quite hilly. The car park was easy to find as extra signage was put up by the event organisers. It may have been easy to drive by without it as the gate is laid back from the road. The car park is a field but the presence of Alexander Stadium support staff made parking and later exit from the car park organised and quick.

Easy online access. Car park was very well sign posted Well organised departure from carpark with marshalls helping traffic flow in an orderly manner.

Parking location was a long way from the venue. Finding, getting into and parking was fine. Marshals did a good job. Walk to the venue was through residential area with no marshals anywhere on the route to guide. Leaving the parking area was horrendous. Took us over an hour to get out. There were no marshals in the area to organise traffic and it was a free for all to gain access to the single track exit.
