Q-Park Shambles Car Park

I wanted to be sure I could get a car park in central York having been there a few weeks before and had difficulty finding a spot. I booked online that morning and had no trouble finding the car park and parking the car. It took the pressure off and was reasonably priced.

Difficulty finding the car park with post code and sat nav. Ended up finding it by fault looking for our hotel. When we were leaving wouldn’t let us out said we needed to pay another £59 but spoke to guy and obviously found we had already paid online. After walking around feel that the sign for the car park is not very prominent especially as there is building work going on in front of car park.

Easy parking, barrier let me in and out with no problem, good location, clean, secure. Only let down was the post code given took me too a different street, to the actual car park.

it did as it said on the tin...we booked a few days before,we drove in ,parked and drove out two days later with no problems...

pre booking great, just one thing no where on site that mentions disability spots

We paid almost £50 for 1 night's parking but when we arrived, there was a queue of 10 cars. There were no spaces and we waited almost half an hour to get into the car park and another 10 minutes to find a space. If spaces are reserved in advance, spaces should be reserved for pre-paid customers. Not acceptable!

Easy to find and very helpful map

All good and will use again. Only grip is we couldn't get out as the barrier would not lift. A queue of traffic behind me also trying to get out of the car park
