On-street parking
There are several parking spaces in Wolverhampton city centre. Parking on the street is also available in some areas. For on-street parking, use the pay and display machines. They require parking permits in some places.
From 8:30 am to 6:00 pm, parking restrictions apply seven days a week. The parking fee is 60p every 20 minutes, and the maximum length of stay is two hours in the first zone. In the second zone, the charges are 60p for every 40 minutes, and the maximum stay is two hours.
Off-street parking
Large car parks are convenient for ordinary office workers and occasional visitors. The Civic Centre offers clean and convenient CCTV-monitored parking at a reasonable price, open 24 hours. You can also park at an affordable price all night.
Public transport
Wolverhampton offers four parking and transport services. Parking is available near Wolverhampton railway station as they often operate regional and local services from the rail station.
Disabled parking
Although many parking spaces in Wolverhampton offer places for people with a disability, limits may apply in some of these areas, so before parking, you should be watchful of any signs. You may also park your vehicle for free if your Blue Badge is valid.
Parking restrictions & event days
There are additional parking restrictions around schools. Outside schools in Wolverhampton, there are visible yellow lines. Vehicles cannot stop on these markings for any reason within the time showed by the signs.
On the roads, yellow lines must be taken into account. You cannot stop on double yellow lines. There may also be a flashing sign showing the load limit.
Overnight, weekends & bank holidays
Same parking fees apply on Sundays, bank holidays and evenings. New charges came into force on March 31, after the council chiefs approved them. Drivers pay £1 for two hours and £2 for three hours during the day. For evenings they pay £1.

The driver should always stay in his car unless the passenger needs help to get in and out of the vehicle at yellow lines for a short time.
