Parking on Garbett Road, SO23

Really easy to find and only a ten minute walk from the town centre. I felt safe leaving my car there as it is essentially someone's drive and not abandoned somewhere random!

Honestly, I was slightly concerned when I parked up since there was a rubbish pile at the end of the space with an old mattress etc. However, there was plenty of space to park the van and I left it there for 3 days with no issues. I was in a rush since it seems there are no long term car parking spaces suitable for a van near Winchester centre and I had 10 mins to park and get to the start of an event. I cycled to the centre which it was less than a mile away, and it's also about a mile from the train station. It's a good location to park up if you're doing the South Downs Way. Thank you for you offering this space up.

It wasn't very easy to find the space because it doesn't look like what was in the photo sent. The area is ok-ish. But it was only a 10min walk to the city centre.

Just a short and pleasant walk into Winchester.

The gates in the picture are no longer there, but it is still easy to check you're in the right place if you rotate the image to the right and see the gates at the end of the Cul de sac road. Had to book very late the night before and the space was ready for me for the early morning. Thanks guys :)

It wasn't clear where the car was meant to be left as there were gates that we would have blocked and other vehicles there. There was old furniture in the driveway and in the end we chose to park in town
