Additional Information

Some additional information about parking in whitby, to cater to all your parking needs

  • On-street parking

Whitby offers a pay and display area along the North Promenade, free 1-hour disc parking (e.g. Skinner Street), and free 3-hour disc parking areas that are shared with residential permit holders. Some streets are for permits holders only.

Scratch cards allow tourists to park all day in 3-hour disc zones (e.g. Crescent Avenue) or permit holder zones with a “W” marked on the parking sign. These are Whitby’s orange and blue parking zones. Scratchcards cannot be used in 1-hour disc parking areas. The cards are given out by guest-house owners and hoteliers and are valid for two or four days at a time.
