I easily found the house parking space and parked up on the drive. I paid for 5.5 hours as hospital waiting times are very unpredictable. After 2 hours, my minor operation was cancelled, so I left early.
Driveway parking was perfect with plenty of space, and I avoided the Hospital car park slow crawl around to find a parking space.

parked here for concert at St Nicholas park, easy to find, 15 min walk to event and got away easy afterwards. ideal hospital parking as just around the corner.
