Parking on Merrion Avenue, HA7

Arrived at this driveway and knocked at the door as requested. I was greeted by a lady who told me my vehicle was very large. I was asked how long I wanted to leave my vehicle as it determined where to put my vehicle. (I was driving a Ford transit crew van). I was instructed to reverse into a very, very tight corner of the driveway. I was then made to shuffle backwards and forwards to get as close to the house and wall as possible because they wanted to get another vehicle beside me and then one more in front. I believe in some cases they ask people to leave keys with them in case vehicles need moving. I can see why now! In my opinion, the driveway isn't large enough to get the number of vehicles on that they do. I think they were getting 9 on this driveway. Once I had reversed into the corner, I was then approached by the angry owner. He told me never to book his drive again. My vehicle was too big and I should've never booked it. I did mention that on booking, it does say it's suitable for wider vehicles as it doesn't state the crew vans, etc, are too big. I did worry about leaving my vehicle there, to be honest, and was worried about it getting hit by another driver, and that fact if I would be able to get out on my return, or if I would be blocked in. I've parked on lots of driveways over time, but this was the worst experience to date.

Instructions were clear. Owner came out and showed us where he wanted us to park. Safe, well lit area with good access to Stanmore Underground close by. Perfect for trips into London

The space was plenty big enough for my Audi Q5 and it's a great location. The woman who lives there operated the spaces like a professional parking lot so be warned to be bossed about a bit. She wanted me to reverse to a point which would have meant I would have hit the car behind! Thankfully my mum was watching me back up and banged the window so I stopped with only 1 inch to spare. The woman still insisted I could go further!!

Booked just an hour before arrival. Clear instructions. Straightforward short drive from M1 J4, easy to find the house and it was just a few minutes walk to the Stanmore tube station. Friendly, helpful lady showed us specifcally where to park. Will use again.

Easy to find, good service, not getting stressed trying to find a parking space

parking was perfect, the owners were lovely so would ignore any negative comments you've seen regarding that but anytime i come near london, this is my go to spot from now!
