It was simple to book a space in a nearby supermarket car park while I was on a coach trip for the day. It was certainly much easier and less stressful than driving around, looking for on-street parking. I booked from 7.30am to 9pm and thought the charge was very reasonable. I've also used it for a shorter time to visit my hairdresser, which normally takes longer than the 1.5 hours free parking.
