Watergate Bay Car Park (Cars)

As a local Cornwall citizen I find it despicable the charges you incur. 2.30 for 1 hour and 4.60 for 2 hours . No saving and penalising the local community knowing and taking advantage of now where else to park . You are a disgrace Cornwall council . You only motive is to take liberty on the holiday makers visiting and also hit the locals in there pocket ,

There is no internet signal close by so it makes using the app to pay for parking really difficult

Whilst the parking is excellent for easy access to Watergate bay beach we found that other carparks along that particular coast, between Newquay and Padstow are on average £5 cheaper per day, I find it disgusting that you find it deemable to charge £10 to park for the day when the carpark is actually pretty maintenance free, it is a grassed area with no tarmacadam surface to maintain other than the short stretch from the main road to the pay machines, no ticket person on site drawing a wage and no security cameras/ system visible to justify such an expensive stay.

Parking on a busy day is shocking, people literally park anywhere and everywhere making it impossible for vans to pull out of their spaces. It's a large car park, but such a nightmare for vans if people park inconsiderately.

Just a field with a gravel path, no parking spaces marked out.

Wi-Fi signal poor

Mobile signal is awful actually at the site. Not much you can do about that, but worth knowing that most can't use the app while there.
