I parked my VW van here overnight because our hotel (Pentire Hotel) had no space. I ended up with a £70 fine just because my van 'looks like' a Campervan!
Be very careful of parking in Newquay, you need to read the signs very carefully because even if your family car is a 6 seater transporter they believe you camped there overnight and slap a fine on you! Disgusting council, disgusting parking area.
I wish I'd parked on double yellows outside of my hotel instead! Probably would have been cheaper!!!

forget the beach car park unless you arrive at dawn! this one is right behind the main shopping street and beach 5min walk.
