Q-Park Piazza Car Park

Words can not truly express how annoyed we are with our experience at Q-Park Piazza Car Park. We had pre-booked our ticket online through JustPark as we were travelling to Manchester to see Coldplay by car to avoid the train strikes and other disruptions. I decided to book there as I was familiar with where it was and the security around it too. We arrived between 6-7pm to find a red barrier placed across the front stopping cars from coming in. Fortunately, there was someone who worked there at the front entrance to ask who very quickly explained they were no spaces and we would be able to get our money back. I told him that we had pre-booked and he said we could go in and look to see if there was any space which we did just in case. Unsurprisingly, there wasn't. This in itself was very frustrating as we then needed to find last minute parking in the centre of Manchester, a night where train strikes and multiple arena concerts meant it was far busier than normal. We drove round the centre for a while before eventually finding some space near the train station at Sheffield Street Car Park. Relieved, we parked up, sorted our belongings and then set off to the Etihad stadium to see Coldplay. However, upon returning to the car after the concert, we noticed that our car had been broken into as there were personal belongings scattered on the floor around the car. Upon further investigation, handbags, purses, money, work belongings and clothes had all been taken. As you can imagine, this ruined our night completely. All we kept thinking is that this wouldn't have happened at the other car park. To add further insult to injury after a really long night, we arrived home to find an automated email from JustPark asking us to rate the service provided, exclaiming you always try to "make parking stress-free" and "next time you need parking, don't take a chance on finding a space. Guarantee one by booking ahead". Now, to me, neither of those statements are remotely true from our experience. I decided to email JustPark directly first of all rather than just leaving a review on TrustPilot or similar to give them a chance to respond out of curtesy. However, we’ve had no response nor our money back and therefore have no choice but to leave this review in the hopes of a more positive outcome.

Very convenient for the Palace Theatre. Also very expensive.

No spaces , wouldn’t take ticket when left to go on my own at 11 pm wanting to charge another £23 shambles !!!!!

The spaces are quite narrow and my passengers had to exit the car before I could park as there was hardly any room to open the doors. I managed to move the car to a space between some pillars which was much better. The car park is very well lit, clean and secure and I had no worries about leaving my car. I will probably try another car park in future with bigger spaces.
