Easy to book but the direction instructions were very confusing - used the postcode suggested and directed me to a wrong place I almost missed my train because of this

We booked this lake expecting something better, especially considering the price. What a disappointment. The beach is tiny and absolutely packed. The worst part by far was the walk from the car park to the beach. Don’t be fooled. It’s a solid 10-minute walk, which might be fine if you’re empty-handed. But there were three of us carrying three paddle boards, life jackets, a picnic bag, a mini fridge, a small tent, and folded chairs. When we got there its was absolutely packed and hardly a space to sit and relax. By the time we got to the lake, we were exhausted and completely fed up and we still had the walk back ahead of us. We didn’t enjoy the day at all. Definitely not going back. And there I was, thinking that if I paid, it would be different. But it’s no different from any other free lake.

Good experience. Easy walk to the Arndale Centre and our hotel. Will use again!

The location is very central, a bit of a pain to find even with the instructions. I personally didn't feel overly safe walking to and from this car park, the location although central doesn't feel very safe

No parking spaces when we turned up as booked. Sat nav postcode sent us to a parking space first off that didn't match the code we were told to look for. Had to find another parking place and pay again for parking.
