Purple Parking is the closest off-airport car park at Heathrow, and it's one of the best priced. Plus it takes between 12-30 minutes to reach the terminal on the regular shuttle bus, which is included in the price.

Purple Parking is a great, affordable option, with plenty of security to ensure your car is safe while you're away.
When you arrive just park in one of the arrivals bays and check your car in at reception. You'll need to leave your keys with them so your car can be moved to the secured area of the car park.
Catch the bus to the terminal from outside reception. It takes 12-30 minutes, runs every 20 from 4am to 11.40pm and it's included in the price. If you need to get to or from the car park outside these times you'll need to pay for a taxi.
When you return catch the bus back to Purple Parking, from bus stop 17, pick up your car and head back home.
Accessibility
The car park is fully accessible for customers with limited mobility.
When you arrive let reception know immediately that you have a mobility vehicle.

In August 2023, London's Ultra Low Emissions Zone (ULEZ) expanded to include all terminals at Heathrow Airport. This is part of an initiative to help tackle air pollution. If your vehicle doesn't meet ULEZ standards, you'll need to pay the daily ULEZ charge when driving through Heathrow – make sure you check before you travel.
Larger or commercial vehicle? The car park has changed its terms and conditions meaning that some larger vehicles are no longer accepted. If your vehicle is one they won't accept you'll be charged an additional £25 per day when you arrive. Please read below for full details and check whether the car park will accept your vehicle before you book.
Purple Parking Park and Ride cannot accept:
Commercial vehicles or mini buses of any variant.
Single or double cab pickup trucks such as Ford Ranger, Toyota Hilux or Nissan Navara.
Medium panelled or windowed vans such as a VW Transporter, VW Caravelle, VW Caddy, Ford Transit, Mercedes Vito, Mercedes Viano or short wheel based vehicles of any description.
Large panelled or windowed vans such as a Mercedes Sprinter, VW Crafter, Renault Master, Ford Transit or long wheel based vehicles of any description.
Any variant of camper van.
Any vehicles over 2.15m high.
Failure to comply to the above, you will be charged an additional £25 per day.
If you don't arrive by midnight on the booked arrival date, the booking will be cancelled and the car park will charge £25 for the booking to be reinstated.
The car park will move your car to a self-park area and charge an additional £20 per day in any of the following cases:
Not providing a key to your vehicle.
Not deactivating ghost alarms (or not providing clear instructions to the team at check-in).
Not removing steering wheel locks.
If you have an electric car, make sure it has enough battery charge to be moved through the car parks and last the duration of the stay otherwise the car park may charge you a fee.

Returning to a different terminal? Don't worry this car park runs shuttles to both terminals. On your way to the airport ask your bus driver where to go on your return.
If you're planning on returning early try and give the car park as much notice as possible so they can have your car ready for you.
Early or late? The car park offers a grace period up to midnight at their discretion. Any longer than this and you'll be charged the car park's standard rate of £20 per day. This is subject to seasonal change and you'll need to pay by card. The car park cannot offer refunds if you return early.
Staff are at the car park 24/7, so if you arrive between 1am and 4am your car can be released.

The process of dropping off my car and collecting the keys on return was very smooth and easy, taking any stress out of the day. The guy on reception was extremely efficient.
The bus to the airport was short and upon return it stopped at every airport pick up point, so took a lot longer. I guess they drive in a loop?
My only concern is why did my car mileage show it had been driven seven miles, whilst in the care of Purple Parking? That conerned me, plus the ULEZ charges apply in that area too....................luckily I have not received any fines! Where did my car go to accumulate 7 miles?

Not the easiest to find but thankfully we weren't in a rush and got there in the end.
The car was parked for us so difficult to comment on space. It was certainly tight on collection - I had to pull out the space so my wife could access the passenger door and she's very skinny!
We waited almost an hour to be picked up and my message to the company requesting an update was ignored. They obviously just didn't care. When the bus came we were lucky to get on. The driver was happy to pull off leaving people waiting but everyone crushed up and insisted getting people on.

I had a very disappointing experience. First, I tried to extend my parking time through the app, but it was impossible to add payment details. Although the option exists in the app, it showed “unavailable” and could not be used, which made the whole process extremely frustrating. Secondly, when I received my car key back, the Ferrari factory wheel and brake caliper keychain that was attached to my key was missing — only the key ring was left. I was genuinely upset to discover this. Finally, while waiting at T2 for the purple shuttle bus, I had to wait over 40 minutes. When I called, I was told the shuttle runs every 15–20 minutes, which was clearly not the case. Overall, this was a very poor experience and extremely disappointing.
