I've used Holiday Inn before but very unhappy with today's leaving experience. I'm actually a Platinum member of IHG and stayed two nights with my wife and friends in the Holiday Inn. When I took my exit card to be processed the receptionist said she had to have proof of when I entered the car park "because some people arrive before their allotted time and need to pay more". So there was an assumption that I was a thief!! To get my papers from my car would have taken another 20 mins . I had shown my app showing clearly that I had until 2.00 pm that day and it was only about 12.00. On the basis that there is supposed to be Reg No Automatic ID I suggested that surely if I had arrived early that this would have been picked up by the system and surely Just Park would have charged me accordingly. I then found another page on the app which showed that I had booked from 11.00 am on Friday and she must have been able to see on her system or on the exit card that I had arrived later than that so I was not trying to defraud Holiday Inn! I have stayed in this car park previously in November and had no problem. Previously to that when staying at Holiday Inn I stayed in the Millennium Hotel car park and that was a breeze with no card needed and all monitored on car Reg No basis. I will seriously consider not using Holiday Inn car park again and using Millennium instead which is also cheaper and despite being a Platinum member of IHG for many years
Did what it said - straightforward, spaces available, decent size, no problems.
