why was I charged £20 for a £10 stay

I reserved parking an hour before arriving; which was 11pm for £18; which was 1 minute to my destination to Bosidale. As I arrived at the car park, my reg was recognised by the machine and automatically lifted up for me to enter. I did pay the extra £1 odd for the insurance, however I don't think it's needed as the place is very secure and has a good few security guards around. I also took pictures of the level I was on and bay number; which was a great idea as there are 2 floors of huge parking and they are colour coded, blue and orange and have the same numbers on both floors. After checking my photo I realised I parked in the blue zone and off I went. Also I could have paid £12 plus a 9 min walk, buy I opted for the above.

Great smooth process. Although it would have been a nice touch to inform us prior that the upper entrance access road was actually closed for roadworks! So we were delayed trying to find a new route in to the basement from address given on the link.

Took me half an hour to find the car park so missed my meeting as was too late. Wasted journey. Would not use again
