We needed to find a parking space near Kings College hospital as my wife had an operation. We turned up to our parking space to find a car was already parked in it. After 10 minutes of panic and double checking the address and booking date, we knocked on a couple of doors to find the space owner and a chap told us that the space was on a long lease so shouldn’t have been advertised with Just Park. My wife was all for leaving the car on a single yellow and paying the fine as we were now running late for the op appt. Sensing our anxiety he suggested we park in a neighbour’s space. When we left for our hospital appt we had no way of knowing if the neighbour was ok with this. After calling Just Park to complain, they told me I would be refunded and that the space owner would be in touch. I argued that my booking was made with them not the space owner. The space owner then messaged to apologise, explained why the space was taken, and said it was ok to use the neighbours space. I had booked until 2.30 but said I’d get back to the space by 1 as I was worried that the neighbour would be unhappy. Just Park later messaged to say the space owner had argued there was no need for a refund as they’d found me another space. That doesn’t take into account the 10 minutes of panic and anxiety caused before the new space was found and the fact they’ve been paid twice for the same spot. I’ve since been asked a couple of times for a review from Just Park. A shambles!
