Popular attractions, such as The Deep and Ferens Art Gallery, make it an ideal destination for the whole family. However, parking spaces are not always easy to find. Additional Information

Some additional information about parking in hull, to cater to all your parking needs

  • On-street parking

It’s difficult to park in the centre of Hull because the streets and car parks are always very busy. In some areas of Hull, particularly in the city centre, parking restrictions are already in place. It is important to check the signs at the parking lots in Hull and to park only in the car park provided.

  • Off-street parking

Hull City offers off-street parking spaces, such as driveways and closed garages. You can reserve a space in some of the most popular areas of the city for a price as low as £2. Some parking spaces offer a quick and easy online platform for reserving parking spaces in advance.

You can make an advanced booking and spend more time exploring attractions, such as the Streetlife Museum, The Deep and Ferens Art Gallery.

  • Public transport

Prior Park has a Park and Ride site serving the city centre. Hull Paragon Interchange hosts the Haru Railway and Bus Station. Destinations such as Manchester, Sheffield, and London offer frequent services. The Hull Station car park is open 24 hours a day.

  • Disabled parking

You are entitled to more options when you have a Blue Badge. The disabled have free access to the parking metres in the city car parks. However, not everywhere offers free parking, as in George Street where normal parking charges apply.

  • Parking restrictions & event days

You cannot park on double yellow lines. Parking on single yellow lines is only allowed at certain times. Be sure to check the signs when parking. Residents must apply for a parking permit at their local library to gain access to Hull parking permit zones.

Knowing the parking restrictions on bus lanes and motorways, which aid in moving traffic in the city centre at peak times, can be useful. There are also restrictions on urban areas and schools, and on residential areas around crossings and intersections.

  • Overnight, weekends & bank holidays

Almost all car parks are open every day of the week, 24 hours a day, so you can use the parking spaces whenever you like. You can also use the JustPark app to reserve a parking spot while on the go. On Sunday, Hull’s parking fees still apply to most parking lots. However, parking in Hull on Sundays is cheaper than Saturdays and other days of the week.

  • Drop-off and pick-up

The Paragon Interchange bus terminal is busy with regular coach and bus activities. Buses or coaches wishing to use Paragon Interchange for non-scheduled passenger drop-offs can contact the City Council.
