I recently booked airport parking near Heathrow that was advertised under the Hilton DoubleTree Hounslow branding. As someone who regularly stays with Hilton and trusts the brand, I felt confident making the booking without hesitation. To my surprise and concern, the property is no longer operating as a Hilton hotel. The building is currently being used as government-contracted accommodation, yet the parking is still being marketed under the Hilton name. This was not made clear at the time of booking. On arrival, the environment was very different from what I expected when booking through a recognised Hilton property. The atmosphere around the entrance did not reflect the standards, security, and reassurance typically associated with the Hilton brand — particularly when leaving a new vehicle for several days. My concern is not about how the building is being used, but about transparency. Customers book Hilton-associated parking because they expect the standards and environment that come with that name. If the property is no longer operating as a Hilton hotel, it should not be advertised as such. I strongly urge Hilton UK and associated parking providers to ensure listings are accurate and transparent. Brand trust matters, and experiences like this undermine customer confidence.
