The Interchange Centre, Gateshead (Previously called Gateshead Wilko Car Park)

Pluses: - cheap parking right by the metro - also within walking distance of Newcastle city centre and St James' Park (assuming you'd like to get your 10,000 steps in) - easy access to the attractive Quayside area en route Minuses: - the entrance has lots of weeds and made the site look derelict (we missed the entrance because it looked so bad and ended up in the bus station)(once in the car park it did not look so bad) - it looks like there's CCTV coverage of the car park and I am sure we would have been reassured had this been prominently advertised/displayed

Stick a minus in front of my 1 star review. I couldn't find this car park after about 5 drive-by's of the postcode. Now concerned i'm going to get a load of tickets from Gateshead Council for driving in restricted lanes. Couldn't you put some sort of signage up......just something, anything? I've since looked on Google street view & even after driving around the area & being semi familiar with it.....i still don't think i'd find it. Anyone who thinks those of us who haven't been able to find this car park (& it looks like there are a few of us) is because we're stupid......i'd just driven from Liverpool to Gateshead without using my Sat Nav or a map & then got fed up & just drove to my hotel in the centre of Newcastle with no problems. Gotta do better if you're taking people's money.

Luck your site has the correct way to get there; several other maps showed a different, non-existant, entrance

Took all the stress away from parking in an unfamiliar city.

the exit was a steep downhill and it was still covered with the previous day's ice and snow. my car slid from top to bottom and only by xhamce we didnt slide into a passing bus

Easy to access, with no parking issues. We parked there and walked up to Newcastle ground stopped at a bar for A few drinks something to eat.

Everything just worked!

Booked parking and unable to find even sat nav . Kept taking me to Gateshead interchange bus station. I stopped to ask people from Gateshead and they did not know where parking was. I ended up parking at travel lodge on Newcastle side and walked to appointment over millennium bridge. Next time will just use travel lodge for parking. Easier and quicker.

I wasn't sure I'd parked in the right place. I phoned the customer service and couldn't get through.
