My only comment is that saying the parking space is within walking distance of the port is somewhat misleading. Firstly it would be a long walk with one or two suitcases 'in tow' as there isn't a shortcut to the port. Secondly the port authorities do not allow pedestrians to enter the port - one needs to be in a taxi or car.

Parking on the front drive with a really helpful and friendly lady "host". Not a problem for us (we were going on a walking holiday) but they have recently erected a security fence around the port area and closed some roads, so the parking location is about 1 mile from the entrance to the docks, and from there you have to wait for a (free) shuttle bus to take you to the terminal - health and safety bans walking through the docks.
Our host did offer to drive us down to the terminal before and after our trip, so for anyone who dislikes walking it might be worth arranging this at the time of booking.
