Why did it cost me £3.50 to extend my parking whereas if I had stayed the same amount of time but paid for it at the start it would have been much cheaper??!!

Was not able to extend parking. This was despite car park being regularly used as overflow for the Station Car Park (which is currently reduced spaces due to building works). And having been able to extend previously.
