52p to use the app is excessive, had no choice as the machine, seemed broken and wouldn't accept card. I will always make sure I have change.

Having to download an app to do something that should be simple (park your car) is silly. The pay and display machine was cash only, and the connection meant the app was very slow to download. I dialled the number and followed the e instructions, but the line went dead after entering the car park's code. By that time, the app had downloaded, so I went ahead with that, but had to create an account and assign my credit card and car to it, what a faff. After all that, it cost more than if I'd had cash. Put contactless payment on the pay and display machines, it will be much easier.
