Mercure Bristol Grand Car Park

Took a while to find - ended up on a one-way street ending in a bollard that meant we could not access the car park. Extra time navigating Bristol's one way system! Once in the car park, it was easy and hotel staff very helpful in validating ticket. We had a small car park so tight turns etc not a problem.

Tight car park and spacing but great location at a decent price.

Left the car park around 10:00. Parking sensor told us we had over stayed ( we paid until 2:00pm and the barrier wouldn't open. Luckily someone else used a ticket to let us out as cars were queuing behind us. Wouldn't use again

TWO big Buyer Beware notices... (i) the roads have changed in Bristol. Even Google Maps now directs you to the hotel down a road that is now 1-way the wrong way, and then blocked off with bollards. CALL THE HOTEL for directions (but we had trouble getting through to reception!) (ii) as others have said, this is a SMALL space with low ceilings and tight corners. I was delighted we came with our Fiat500 rather than a Hyundai Tucson. both for navigating the multiple floors and tight corners, and the pretty tight parking spaces. That said, it's a terrific location in the heart of Bristol City Centre with excellent security. We went to the hotel reception guy after we'd parked to check about validating the ticket when we came back to leave, and he gave us our EXIT ticket there and then, so leaving the car park was simple. Would use again, but only with a small car!
