There is no signage about the gates being locked, or access information saying that times are restricted. Our car was locked in overnight, and even when we returned to access the site at 8am the next morning (when the next parking slot opened) no-one came to open the gate. Neither the app nor the confirmation email says anything about restricted opening hours.
