Club Information

Club History
Swansea City A.F.C. was founded in 1912 as Swansea Town and joined the Football League in 1921, before becoming Swansea City in 1969. Based in South Wales, the Swans have enjoyed several memorable periods in their history, including their remarkable rise through the leagues in the 2000s and 2010s.
Under Brendan Rodgers, the club reached the Premier League in 2011 and impressed with their attractive style of play, becoming the first Welsh club to play in the top flight since its formation in 1992. Swansea’s crowning moment came in 2013, when they won the League Cup, defeating Bradford City 5–0 in the final — their first major trophy. They also competed in the UEFA Europa League the following season.
About Swansea.com Stadium
The Swansea.com Stadium (originally Liberty Stadium) has been the home of Swansea City since 2005, replacing the Vetch Field. Located in Landore, north of the city centre, the stadium has a capacity of over 21,000.
Built to modern standards, the stadium is shared with the Ospreys rugby team and has hosted international football and rugby fixtures, as well as major concerts. Its urban location means parking can be limited on matchdays, so booking in advance with JustPark is highly recommended for convenience.
