Club Information

Club History
Queens Park Rangers F.C. was formed in 1882 following the merger of two local clubs in west London. Named after the Queens Park area, QPR joined the Football League in 1920 and gradually built a strong reputation in the capital.
Their most successful period came in the 1970s, finishing as First Division runners-up in 1975–76, narrowly missing out on the league title. The club won the League Cup in 1967 and has spent multiple seasons in the Premier League, most recently in the 2010s. Known for their distinctive blue and white hoops, QPR has a loyal following and a proud footballing identity.
About Loftus Road
Loftus Road has been QPR’s home since 1917, located in Shepherd’s Bush, west London. In 2024, it was renamed the MATRADE Loftus Road Stadium following a sponsorship deal. The stadium currently has a capacity of just over 18,000.
Despite its compact size, Loftus Road is known for its intense atmosphere, with stands close to the pitch. It has hosted England youth fixtures, international friendlies, and even served as a temporary home for other clubs over the years. Its central London location makes parking challenging, which is where pre-booking with JustPark becomes invaluable.

Where to Park Near Loftus Road

Parking near Loftus Road is very limited due to its location in a residential part of West London, with many streets switching to event-day restrictions. It saves time and prevents the frustration of driving around Shepherd’s Bush looking for parking close to kick-off.

How to Get to Loftus Road: Driving and Public Transport

Traffic builds up around South Africa Road and the main routes coming in from the A40 and Shepherd’s Bush Green before matches. Most fans arrive via White City, Wood Lane or Shepherd’s Bush stations and walk to the stadium from there. Planning your route and parking in advance helps you avoid delays and makes getting to the ground much smoother.

Best Places to Eat and Drink Near Loftus Road

Arriving early and parking up gives you time to enjoy one of the pubs, cafés or food stalls around Shepherd’s Bush Market and Uxbridge Road. The area has plenty of match day food options, and fans often gather in local spots before heading into the ground. Getting there ahead of the rush lets you enjoy the build-up rather than heading straight inside.
