Club History
Leicester City F.C. was founded in 1884 as Leicester Fosse and joined the Football League in 1894. Renamed Leicester City in 1919, the club has spent much of its history in the top two tiers of English football.
Their most famous moment came in 2015–16, when Leicester stunned the world by winning the Premier League title — one of the greatest sporting stories of all time. Managed by Claudio Ranieri, the team overcame 5000–1 odds to lift the trophy. Leicester also won their first FA Cup in 2021, defeating Chelsea 1–0 in the final, adding to their impressive list of honours which includes multiple League Cups and Community Shields.
