Where to Park for Bath Bonfire Night

Everything you need to know about tickets, travel and parking for one of Bath’s most popular seasonal celebrations.

Bath Bonfire Night 2025

Each November, Bath comes alive for Bonfire Night, as thousands of people gather across the city to enjoy fireworks, food, and festive celebrations.

The main event takes place at Bath Recreation Ground, just a short distance from the city centre, drawing thousands of visitors each year. With demand high and parking in the city limited, it’s essential to plan your journey and reserve your parking in advance.

When is Bath Bonfire Night This Year?

The main Bath Bonfire Night celebrations at the Rec will once again feature a massive fireworks display, funfair rides, live entertainment, and plenty of seasonal food and drink. This is one of the biggest community events on the city’s calendar and all proceeds are set to go to charity.

Date: Saturday 1st November 2025
Time: Gates open at 4:30 PM.
Location: Recreation Ground, Pulteney Mews, Bathwick, Bath, Somerset, BA2 4DS

Tickets: Entry to the event this year will be by advance ticket only. Tickets can be purchased online through the Rotary Club of Bath website.

If you’d prefer to celebrate Bonfire night without fireworks, Bath City Farm is hosting a more relaxed Bonfire Night on Saturday 8 November, featuring a bonfire, sparklers, fire performers, and plenty of warming food and drinks.

Where Should I Park for Bath Bonfire Night?

Parking near the event site is extremely limited. Road closures and diversions are also expected on the evening, so turning up without a plan isn’t advised.

Visitors are encouraged to:

  • Pre-book nearby private driveways or car parks using JustPark.
  • Use one of Bath’s Park & Ride services if travelling from outside the city.
  • Walk or use public transport where possible to reduce congestion.

To help tackle harmful pollution in our city, Bath also operates a charging clean air zone (CAZ). Charges apply daily, from midnight to midnight, all year round.

Park & Ride Options

  • Lansdown, located on the North side of the city
  • Odd Down, located on the South side of the city
  • Newbridge, located on the West side of the city

All three sites offer regular bus services directly into the city centre, and extended hours are typically in place for major events, making them a great option if you want to avoid driving through busy central streets.

Top Tips for Bonfire Night Visitors

  • Book early – both tickets and parking sell out fast.
