The Best NCP Car Parks for Days Out, Events and City Centre Parking

JustPark has partnered with NCP to bring thousands of new spaces to the app — here's where to find them and what they're great for.

NCP parking, now on JustPark

JustPark has teamed up with NCP to bring 70+ centrally located car parks onto the platform, with more sites to follow later in the spring. For the 14 million-plus drivers who use JustPark, it means thousands of additional spaces now available to pre-book — spanning city centres, event venues and key destinations right across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Jeff Shanahan, JustPark CEO, said:

"Working with NCP brings thousands of great, centrally located spaces onto JustPark — exactly the kind of parking our drivers are looking for in city centres across the UK."

All 70+ NCP car parks are available to pre-book now. Here's a look at where they are and what they're well placed for.

Why Pre-Book Your NCP Parking?

City centre parking on a busy day is one of those things that seems fine until it isn't. You're running slightly late, the nearest car park is full, and you end up circling streets or paying over the odds for whatever you can find.

Pre-booking NCP Parking through JustPark removes that entirely. Your space is reserved before you leave home, your booking confirmation has a directions link that takes you straight there, and the whole thing takes a couple of minutes to set up.

On event days in particular — match days, concert nights, major festivals — spaces close to the action fill up fast and prices rise as availability drops. Booking early means you're ahead of all of that.

NCP car parks are well suited to pre-booking. They're large, centrally located, and in most cases they're the closest professional car park to wherever you're heading in that city. Locking in your space in advance just makes the day run more smoothly.

How to Pre-Book an NCP Car Park

1. Find an NCP car park Search your destination in the JustPark app or on justpark.com. NCP sites will appear alongside all other nearby parking options.

2. Pre-book your space Reserve your space ahead of time and arrive with your parking already sorted. No stress, no searching.

3. Get directions to your space Tap 'Get Directions' in your booking confirmation in the app and choose your navigation app. It's more accurate than using the car park postcode.

NCP Car Parks Across the UK: What to Do and Where to Go

Manchester and Salford

Eleven NCP sites across Manchester and Salford make this the largest single cluster in the new lineup — Spinningfields, Chorlton Street, Oxford Street, Chester Street, Palace, Manchester Central, Store Street, Sackville Street and Piccadilly Plaza in the city centre, plus Stanley Street and New Bailey just across the river in Salford — with close to 1,000 pre-bookable spaces across the two cities.

Manchester is one of the most visited cities in the UK, and it's easy to see why. The Northern Quarter and Ancoats offer some of the best independent bars and restaurants in the country, the cultural offer — from the Manchester Art Gallery to the Whitworth and HOME — is genuinely world class, and Deansgate and Spinningfields bring a more polished dining and nightlife experience.

Whether you're in for the day or making a weekend of it, the NCP sites on JustPark give you a reliable, pre-bookable base close to the action.

For live events, few UK cities match Manchester's offer:

  • AO Arena — one of the busiest indoor arenas in Europe

  • Manchester Central Convention Complex — major events and exhibitions year-round

  • CorpAcq Stadium — within driving distance from the Salford sites

  • Etihad Stadium — home to Manchester City, with Piccadilly Plaza the closest NCP site. Book Manchester City Matchday Parking.

Cardiff

Cardiff has one of the strongest clusters of new NCP locations anywhere in the UK. There are seven car parks now available to pre-book in Cardiff through JustPark — Knox Road, Westgate Street, Rapports, Greyfriars Road, Pellet Street, Adam Street and Cardiff Stadium — giving you around 575 pre-bookable spaces across the city centre.

The city is one of the UK's great destinations for a weekend away — compact, walkable and packed with things to do, from the Victorian and Edwardian arcades in the city centre to Cardiff Bay, Cardiff Castle and the National Museum. Several of the NCP car parks sit within easy walking distance of all of these.

For events, Cardiff punches well above its weight. Key venues near the NCP sites include:

  • Principality Stadium — Six Nations rugby, FA Cup finals, major boxing and headline concerts

  • Utilita Arena — major music acts throughout the year

  • Cardiff City Stadium — Cardiff City Matchday Parking (within reach of the city centre sites)

Birmingham

Birmingham City Centre brings NCP onto the JustPark platform in one of the UK's largest and most visited cities. The Bullring and Grand Central make it one of the premier shopping destinations in the country, the Jewellery Quarter is well worth an afternoon, and the city's food scene — from Chinatown to Digbeth — is as varied as anywhere outside London. The site is also within reach of the Utilita Arena, one of the UK's busiest indoor venues for major concerts and events.

London

London Whitechapel High Street brings NCP to one of the most vibrant and fast-changing parts of East London, well connected on the Elizabeth line and District line. It's a great base for exploring Spitalfields Market, Brick Lane, Shoreditch and the Whitechapel Gallery, with easy connections into central London for anywhere else you're heading.

Glasgow

For Glasgow parking, two central locations — King Street and Ingram Street — are now available to pre-book on JustPark. Both sit in the heart of the city centre, within easy reach of the Merchant City, Glasgow's exceptional museums and galleries, and the wide range of bars and restaurants that make it one of the UK's most enjoyable cities to spend time in.

Ingram Street is also within reach of the O2 Academy Glasgow, one of the city's premier live music venues — if you're heading to a show, your parking is one less thing to think about on the night.

Edinburgh

Reserve Edinburgh parking at Grindlay Street Court and you're well placed for one of Europe's most rewarding city centres. The Castle, the Royal Mile, Grassmarket and the National Museum of Scotland are all within easy reach, and the city's food and drink scene — from the Old Town to Leith — is stronger than ever. Grindlay Street is also a short walk from the Usher Hall and the Royal Lyceum Theatre, making it a practical option for a night out as well as a day in the city.

Belfast

The Tannery is a large multi-storey car park in Belfast city centre, well placed for both exploring the city and attending events. Belfast has become one of the most exciting city break destinations in the UK and Ireland, with a huge amount to see and do:

  • Titanic Belfast — the world's largest Titanic visitor experience

  • The Cathedral Quarter for bars, restaurants and live music

  • The Botanic Gardens and Ulster Museum

  • Victoria Square and St Anne's Square for shopping and dining

The Tannery is also well placed for the SSE Arena, Belfast's largest indoor entertainment venue and one of the most active arenas in Ireland, hosting major concerts, comedy nights and sporting events throughout the year.

Liverpool

Reserve Liverpool parking and you're well placed for one of the UK's great cities. Rumford Street, Smithfield Street, Tithebarn Street and Primrose Hill put you in the heart of it — close to a waterfront listed as UNESCO World Heritage, a world-class museum quarter around the Pier Head, and a music, food and nightlife scene that needs no introduction.

The Baltic Triangle has also emerged as one of the most exciting independent food and drink destinations in the north of England. For sport, Anfield is accessible from the city centre — and with Primrose Hill close by, Liverpool Matchday Parking is well catered for too.

Sheffield

Sidney Street is a well-located surface car park in Sheffield city centre, close to the best the city has to offer.

Sheffield has one of the most underrated city centres in England. Kelham Island has become one of the most talked-about independent bar and restaurant destinations in the north, the Cultural Industries Quarter brings a strong live music and theatre offer, and the Botanical Gardens are worth a visit at any time of year. For football fans, Sidney Street is also within reach of Bramall Lane, home to Sheffield United.

Leicester

Book your Leicester parking space at Welford Road multi-storey car park and you're well placed for one of the most underrated city centres in the Midlands. The Richard III Visitor Centre, the Golden Mile along Belgrave Road and Leicester Market — one of the largest open-air markets in Europe — are all within easy reach, as is the King Power Stadium for Leicester City match days.

Derby

Siddals Road is a well-located surface car park in Derby city centre, close to the Cathedral Quarter, the Derby Museum and Art Gallery and the revitalised Derbion shopping centre.

Derby is also a great base for day trips into the Peak District, with some of the best walking and scenery in England easily accessible from the city. For football fans, Siddals Road sits within reach of Pride Park Stadium, home to Derby County.

Lincoln

Pre-book Lincoln parking at one of five central NCP sites — Central, Brayford Street, Steep Hill, St Rumbold Street and Motherby Lane. Lincoln is one of the most rewarding places in the East Midlands for a day out.

The Cathedral Quarter at the top of the hill is genuinely stunning, and Steep Hill itself — one of the most characterful shopping streets in England — connects the lower city to the historic upper town. Key highlights within easy reach include:

  • Lincoln Cathedral — one of the great medieval buildings in Europe

  • Lincoln Castle — home to one of only four surviving copies of Magna Carta

  • Steep Hill — independent boutiques, bookshops and cafés

  • The Brayford Waterfront for bars and restaurants

Wolverhampton

Book Wolverhampton parking at four central NCP sites — Church Street, Summer Row, Pipers Row and Fryer Street.

The city centre has seen considerable investment in recent years, with a growing food and drink scene and the Grand Theatre adding a strong cultural draw. All four sites are also within reach of Molineux Stadium, making them well worth bookmarking for a Wolves Matchday Parking.

Huddersfield

Looking to reserve parking in Huddersfield? Two surface car parks on Colne Road — East and West — sit close to both the town centre and John Smith's Stadium, one of the few grounds in England shared by a Football League club and a Super League rugby club.

Whether you're heading to a Huddersfield Town match or a Giants game, both sites are a short walk away.

Ipswich

Pre-book Ipswich parking at one of three central NCP car parks — Cox Lane, Tacket Street and Tower Ramparts. The town has undergone significant regeneration in recent years, with the Waterfront area becoming a genuinely lively destination for eating, drinking and exploring.

All three sites are also close to Portman Road Stadium, making them a practical option for Ipswich Town match days.

Cheltenham

Reserve parking in Cheltenham at Portland Street, a well-located surface car park in the heart of one of England's most elegant Regency towns. Cheltenham is famous for its racing — the Festival in March draws enormous crowds — but it's also a genuinely lovely place to spend a day at any time of year.

The Promenade, the Montpellier Quarter and a strong independent café and restaurant scene all make it an easy and enjoyable destination, and the Everyman Theatre adds a consistently strong cultural programme throughout the year. For football fans, Portland Street is also a reasonable drive from Whaddon Road, home to Cheltenham FC.

Bournemouth

Reserve parking in Bournemouth at Terrace Road, a rooftop car park right in the centre of one of the south coast's most popular destinations. Bournemouth Beach is consistently ranked among the best in England, the Russell-Cotes Art Gallery and Museum is a remarkable clifftop Victorian villa well worth visiting, and the town centre has a strong food and drink scene.

For events, the BIC and Pavilion Theatre bring concerts, comedy and entertainment to the town throughout the year. Terrace Road puts you within easy reach of all of it.

Bromley

Book Bromley parking at The Mall, a well-located multi-storey car park in the heart of the town centre. Bromley is one of south London's most popular destinations for shopping and eating out, with a strong mix of high street and independent retailers alongside a lively food and drink scene. For football fans, The Mall is also within reach of Copperjax Community Stadium, home to Bromley FC.

Aberdeen

Reserve parking in Aberdeen at Shiprow, a well-located multi-storey in the heart of Scotland's third city. Aberdeen has a strong city centre offer — Union Street is one of the most distinctive granite-lined streets in the UK, the covered market is well worth a visit, and the city has a lively food and drink scene built around its status as a major university city. It's also a practical base for exploring Royal Deeside and the wider Aberdeenshire coast.

Dundee

Pre-book your Dundee parking space at Wilson Street, right in the heart of a city that has undergone remarkable transformation in recent years. The V&A Dundee — Scotland's first design museum — has become one of the most striking cultural buildings in the UK, and the redeveloped waterfront alongside it has given the city a new focal point for eating, drinking and exploring. For football fans, Wilson Street is also within reach of Dens Park, home to Dundee FC.

Epsom

Book Epsom parking at one of two underground NCP car parks — Epsom High Street and Ebbisham Centre — giving you solid central coverage. Epsom is best known for its racecourse, home to the Derby and the Oaks, two of the most prestigious flat races in the British calendar. Outside of race days it's a pleasant and well-connected town with a good range of shops, cafés and restaurants in the town centre.

Southport

Book Southport parking at one of two central NCP sites — Promenade and London Street — both well placed for one of the north west's most popular seaside destinations.

Southport's wide, tree-lined Lord Street is one of the most elegant shopping streets in the country, the seafront and pier are a classic British seaside experience, and the town has a strong calendar of events throughout the year including the renowned Southport Flower Show and Southport Air Show.

Shrewsbury

Reserve parking in Shrewsbury at Wyle Cop, a well-located car park in the heart of one of England's finest medieval towns.

Shrewsbury's black-and-white timbered buildings, independent shops and cobbled streets make it one of the most rewarding places in the Midlands for a day out, and the town centre — set within a sweeping loop of the River Severn — is compact enough to explore entirely on foot. The market hall, the castle and a strong independent café and restaurant scene all add to the appeal.

Chester

Book Chester parking at Browns Yard, a well-located car park close to the heart of one of the most visited historic cities in the UK.

Chester's two-storey medieval Rows, its remarkably intact Roman walls and its cathedral make it one of the most distinctive city centres in England, and the range of independent shops, restaurants and bars within the walls gives it a strong appeal beyond the heritage draw. Chester Zoo, one of the most popular visitor attractions in the country, is also within easy reach.

Lyme Regis

Reserve parking in Lyme Regis at Pitt House, a well-located car park for one of the most characterful towns on the Jurassic Coast. Lyme Regis sits at the heart of a UNESCO World Heritage coastline famous for its fossils, dramatic cliffs and unspoilt beaches, and the town itself — with its harbour, independent shops and seafront restaurants — is one of the most enjoyable places to spend a day on the south coast.

Whether you're fossil hunting on the beach, walking the coastal path or simply exploring the Cobb, it's a destination that rewards the journey.
