PLATE VALIDATOR · LPR FOR EVENT PARKING · BETA
License plate recognition, built for event parking
Unlock faster ingress at stadiums, arenas, and event venues. Use LPR to read every plate as cars arrive without trenching, fixed cameras, or mailed citations. One portable camera. One handheld device. Deployed in minutes.
Book A DemoMost LPR was built for tolling. Ours was built for events.
Fixed-camera LPR works well when the same cars use the same lot every day. Event parking asks more of it. Every event brings different attendees, different lot activations, and different lane configurations. JustPark’s LPR, Plate Validator, was designed for that reality.
Traditional free-flow LPR | Plate Validator | |
|---|---|---|
Setup | Fixed overhead cameras. Trenching, mounting, permits. | Portable camera. Deploys same day as your event. |
Flexibility | Locked to the lanes and lots you installed. | Turn on event by event, lot by lot, lane by lane. |
Enforcement | Mailed citations only. Drivers routinely ignore them. | On-site attendant takes payment in real time. |
Error handling | Wrongful citations when a driver forgets to update their plate. | Attendant resolves issues before they escalate. |
Revenue capture | Citations sent to mail. Most go uncollected. | Payment collected at the lane, before the car parks. |
Cost | Heavy CapEx and ongoing upkeep. | Uses the Prime hardware you already have, plus one camera. |
Plate Validator unlocks LPR capabilities on JustPark Prime
Prime is JustPark’s handheld device for validating parking passes and accepting on-site payments. Plate Validator is an add-on that brings LPR capabilities to Prime and includes Prime Lens, a portable camera that captures plates as vehicles approach and can be positioned to fit your operation.
Prime Lens reads the plate
A portable camera captures the plate as the vehicle approaches.
Plate Validator checks the pass
Plate Validator checks whether it matches a valid prepaid parking pass.
Prime shows the result
The attendant’s handheld displays the result and can also validate passes or accept payment.
How it works
The fan registers their plate. The fan buys a parking pass online and registers their license plate.
Prime Lens captures the plate. The portable camera reads the plate as the vehicle approaches and sends it to the attendant’s Prime handheld.
Plate Validator confirms the pass. The system checks whether the plate is registered to valid prepaid parking and displays the result on the attendant's Prime handheld.
The attendant keeps traffic moving. Attendants wave authorized plates through and route the rest to pay onsite.
Your operation, your setup.
Plate Validator flexes to how your lots actually run. Start with a single lane. Add a triage lane when volume climbs. Stand up a dedicated Fast Lane as a premium arrival for pre-registered fans. Run all three at the same event if you want to.
Model 1:
Mixed-Use Lane
One lane for everyone. Every plate is scanned by the Plate Validator. Pre-registered plates are waved through, and anyone else stops for the attendant to manually scan a parking pass or take payment on Prime. Best for smaller or single-lane lots.
Model 2:
Triage Lane
The main lane waves validated cars through without stopping. Anyone whose plate doesn't match gets redirected to a second lane where an attendant takes payment or verifies the pass. Best for high-volume lots that want speed without giving up enforcement.
Model 3:
Fast Lane
A dedicated lane for fans who registered their plate at checkout. No stopping. No scanning. No attendant interaction. It's the fastest ingress model, and works well as a paid upgrade or a VIP tier.

We're taking on a small number of beta partners this season. Talk to your JustPark team, or send us a note and we'll come to you.
Everything you need to know
License plate recognition, or LPR, is a technology that uses a camera and software to read vehicle license plates as cars pass. In event parking, it's used to verify pre-paid parking passes without stopping the car, replacing manual scans or paper tickets.
It means we're actively refining it with a small group of partners at real events. It's live today at Kia Forum, Intuit Dome, and American Airlines Center. Being a beta partner gets you early access, direct input into the product, and hands-on support from our team. It also means we're upfront about what's still evolving. Ask us anything.
No. Prime Lens is portable. Mount it on a tripod or fix it in place. Same-day setup, no trenching and no permits needed.
Not necessarily. If you've already installed fixed LPR, JustPark Passes integrate directly with Genetec and Survision at supported venues. Plate Validator is the alternative if you don't want to install fixed cameras, or if you want the flexibility to run LPR event by event.
The attendant sees the flag on their Prime device and directs the car to pay. Payment happens on the same device in the same lane. No mailed citation. No dispute later.
Yes. Most of our beta venues do. You pick which lots and which lanes use Plate Validator, and you can change it event by event.
Prime runs on cellular, not venue Wi-Fi. If cellular drops, offline mode keeps validation running until the connection restores.
A regular VIP lane still needs attendants to check passes. Fast Lane doesn't. Cars drive through without stopping while Plate Validator confirms authorization as they pass. It's the fastest ingress model we've built, and it works well as a paid upgrade.
Beta pricing depends on your setup. Talk to your JustPark team and we'll walk you through the pilot options.
