Park in a private parking bay and walk up the road straight onto the sand dunes. 1- 2 minute walk to main car park and walk straight onto beach, or climb straight up sand dunes opposite the Dunes Bar restaurant (opposite turning the Marchants Drive).
If for any reason on a very hot day, the traffic operators may close the road from Rye Bay Cafe, they will open the gates if you let them know your parking on Marchants Drive and let you through to park.
