Morrisons Car Park - Margate

Avoid this car park at all costs. Morrisons put shutters down each evening when they close. I had booked the space as we were attending a concert in Dreamland. Got back to find we couldn't get into the car park so couldn't retrieve my car. Couldn't extend the time on the app my son had to do it through ring go. Then had to find a hotel with a vacant triple room for the night which added on nearby £250 cost as well as the additional cost to ring go.

Once registered car and payment details, booking was straight forward. The confirmation email gave details of booking and directions. You can even extend the time of the parking slot, where available. The Go to booking>Book again feature is especially convenient as it takes seconds to rebook. Really takes the hassle out of finding a parking spot.

You kept in constant touch with all the details of the booking.

As per comments made by another person previously I would not recommend this parking.. After finally finding how to get into the car park I noticed signs saying 2 hr parking only and gates shut at 9. As I was attending a concert at dreamland I was concerned that I'd get locked.in. I went into the store to ask staff to confirm that I was in the right place tonpark and wouldn't get locked in. The staff were lovely but had absolutely no idea and couldn't help me which set my anxiety off no end. Finally a staff member confirmed by the manager that it was fine, the car park was the right one, I could park anywhere and the gates would remain open. To get out of the car park and towards the beach etc you walk through a small shopping centre. We were considering leaving the concert early ro make sure we were not locked in, but in the end we stayed until the end as the car park is only a 10 min walk away. However, upon reaching the shopping centre, all the shopping centre was locked up, the metal shutters were down and we couldn't get back through to get to the car park. To get back to the car we had to walk along a back lane which was very dark and being 4 young females we found this quite un-nerving. Especially as when we initially parked up we were approached by a questionable person asking for any change. The car park.itself was pitch black. I realise the store was shut and technically so was the car park but it did not feel safe at all. We couldn't find our way out of the car park and drove out of a no entry, the way we came in, just to get out. I mean, it's great value parking but would not recommend it for any women parking. It didn't ease my anxiety at all parking there,.in face quite the opposite. I couldn't relax all evening as I was worried about being locked in. I'd recommend parking somewhere else.

I was concerned about not getting a space upon arrival because it was one of the hottest summer days and expected lots of people to be parking here. I was wrong, lots of spaces to choose from and kept it underground which kept the car nice and cool. Easy to find and ideal location for central Margate. I'd use it again

Very unclear on where to park as it says the car park closed at 9pm and we were booked for after this time. Ended up not using the space as didn't want to get locked in

The shutters were down so we could not enter car park to retrieve car, after numerous phone calls, we were advised to try another way in , luckily we could get to car but we had to drive out through no entry signs as this was the only way out. Considering you took my booking for the times I requested this should not have happened causing unnecessary stress for my family and others in the same situation. You need to liase with this car park to find out what went wrong or make it clearer on how to retrieve the car. Any fines rising from this, if any, as I had to drive out through entrance will be passed on to you.

easy to do and not overcharged for the service

It was cost effective and plenty of spaces were available. I didn't see any signs for long-term parking, until I had parked up away from the rather gloomy basement.

Signage in the car park suggests it closes at 5pm on a Sunday, even though parking was booked till 11!
